What is Bannanafish Bones?
Bannanafish Bones is a musical project centered in Bend, Oregon, headed by Timotheus Billingsley and Ryan Mellon ( the band, not the city you silly bitch!)
Well that told me a whole lot! (blatant sarcasm)
Hey, sarcasm is a sign of weakness. Or at least that's what I'm told by that one coming of age book. But you're right, I didn't tell you a whole lot.
Bannanafish Bones is in it's embryotic stages and we're not even sure if it's going to be exclusively a recording project or a full blown band.
The music is shaping up to be generally unclassifiable. It's major influences include celtic, pop, progressive rock (whatever that means), emo and folk.
The instruments that will shape this amorphous music will likely include (and certainly not be limited to) Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, violin, synth, bass, stand-up bass, cello, accordian, and vocals.
This one guy I met was named Gaylord.
It is in fact a name, I can't say I've personally had the pleasure of meeting someone by the name Gaylord but I believe I was reading up on Ralph Nader one time when the article mentioned a run-in he had with a man named Gaylord. I find Ralph Nader to be a sincere, trustworthy man and take his word for it.
So what exactly is Bannanafish Bones doing now?
We are in the process of writing the music that will go on our debut album. We plan to start recording by the end of Febuary. You will very likely see free demos floating around in March and, having been enticed by the free* demo you will more than likely be willing and able to pick up a copy of the full album in a local record shop or at a local show for absurd sums of money by the time May comes around.
These "dates" are of course rather speculative but indeed, likely.
I wish to contact you.
You word things in a rather creepy manner. Regardless, I shall supply you with an e-mail adress!
